The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced the winners of the Safety Excellence Awards and the Louis Griesemer Sterling Silver Safety Awards. The Safety Excellence Awards recognize operations that maintain a safe workplace, evidenced by its safety performance over a consecutive period without an MSHA-reportable injury.  The Louis Griesemer Sterling Silver Safety Award recognize NSSGA member companies that have the lowest total accident incidence rate for the previous year in their size category.

“The safety of the men and women of the aggregates industry has always been our members highest priority, and now more than ever, we understand that it requires the unyielding commitment of every employee to maintain a safe work environment,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michael Johnson.  “Our Safety Excellence Awards, along with our Louis Griesemer Sterling Silver Safety Awards, highlight those aggregate producers who have an elite level safety record. We celebrate their dedication to the safest workplace possible, because we believe everyone should go home at night.”

NSSGA’s Safety Excellence and Louis Griesemer Sterling Silver Safety Gold Award were announced during NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum, being held Sept. 21-23 virtually.
