Minnesota and Dakota Asphalt Pavement Associations Launch Women of Asphalt Minnesota/Dakota
BY AsphaltPro Staff
The Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA) and the Dakota Asphalt Pavement Association (DAPA) have teamed up with Women of Asphalt (WofA) to create Women of Asphalt MN/Dakota. Women of Asphalt is a national coalition which supports women in all aspects of the asphalt industry through mentoring, education, and advocacy, and by encouraging women to seek careers in the asphalt industry.
MN/Dakota will provide women in our states the opportunity to take full advantage of all that this amazing organization has to offer. We will host events throughout the year that allow the women of asphalt an opportunity to learn, network, have fun and grow.
A kickoff event for Women of Asphalt MN/Dakota will be held virtually via Zoom on October 13, 2021 at 3:30 pm.
We will hear from a panel of women in the industry regarding their career paths and experiences and discuss future events and opportunities for women in the asphalt industry.
WofA MN/Dakota is currently chaired by Carmie Mick of CWMF, with Rachel Quam from Caterpillar as Vice Chair.
