Mike Kvach Returns to Asphalt Pavement Association of Iowa
BY AsphaltPro Staff
The Asphalt Pavement Association of Iowa has announced the return of Mike Kvach as our Executive Vice President.
“Mike’s passion toward asphalt and the asphalt industry, along with his knowledge of the members, both locally and nationally, will help him make an immediate impact on the APAI,” the organization said.
Kvach started at the APAI in 2000 when both association staff positions were vacant. “History has a way of repeating itself as we find ourselves with the same situation,” APAI said.
During Kvach’s previous tenure (2000-2008), he created the Greater Iowa Asphalt Conference (GIAC), pressed for IDOT Perpetual Pavement projects, created the first APAI Environmental awards, as well as many other accomplishments.
After the APAI, Kvach moved on to work with the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), the Asphalt Pavement Alliance (APA), and with Astec Industries in a Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing role.
Kvach, and his wife Kristine, moved back to Iowa in 2020 and currently reside in Cedar Rapids.
