Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry Announces 2021 Scholarship Program

Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry (HAPI) has announced its 2021 scholarship program. Applications are due by October 31, 2020.
“The goal of this scholarship is to assist college students pursing a degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering, and other degrees related to the design and construction infrastructure improvements,” reads HAPI’s post announcing the program.
There are four awards available:
- Two $1,000 scholarships available for 4-year university students
- Two $500 scholarships available for community college students.
Last year’s recipients include Emily Mitra, a second-time scholarship recipient studying Construction Management at California Baptist University; Danae Dunn, attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa; Connor Kagamida, a second-time scholarship recipient attending University of Hawaii’s College of Engineering; and Debbi Sakai, who is studying in the Architectural Engineering and CAD Technologies program at Honolulu Community College with a focus on Construction Management.
