Colorado Asphalt Association Names Brandon Brever Director of Engineering
BY AsphaltPro Staff
The Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association (CAPA) has announced the appointment of Brandon Brever, P.E., as its new Director of Engineering & Technology. Brever brings to Colorado a strong background in asphalt pavement engineering, most recently serving as the Director of Technical Services at the Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA).
In his previous role, Brever collaborated closely with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and local agencies to implement specification improvements and support contractors in adopting data-driven construction technologies. His experience includes active involvement in applied research through the National Road Research Alliance (NRRA), participation on technical advisory panels with MnDOT, and contributions to the Minnesota Local Road Research Board.
“I’m thrilled to join CAPA and serve Colorado’s asphalt community,” Brever said. “My focus is helping agencies and contractors adopt proven, balanced, and cost-effective practices, so we can deliver longer lasting and sustainable pavements for the public.”
He added, “In a fourth-grade assignment that asked, ‘What I want to be when I grow up,’ I wrote, ‘build roads.’ While I may not be the one building them today, it’s an honor to contribute to the decisions that make it happen.”
Brever holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He officially joins CAPA on October 16 and is looking forward to connecting with contractors, producers, agency partners, and consultants across Colorado’s asphalt industry.
Outside of work, Brever and his spouse are raising three young children. When time allows, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting—activities he looks forward to continuing in his new home state.
