Industry-Changing Innovation
Ingevity Pavement Technologies offers the asphalt paving industry a suite of sustainable pavement solutions to achieve its global net zero sustainability goals through our warm mix asphalt additives to our emulsifiers for cold in place/cold central plant recycling and rehabilitation treatments. We also have developed emulsifiers for pavement preservation treatments all of which make an asphalt pavement last longer. Our Evotherm DAT product allows contractors to reduce mix production temperatures >100°F which will significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the asphalt mix and help eliminate harmful fugitive emissions and blue smoke.
As contractors are being required to supply EPDs for their asphalt mixtures, warm mix asphalt technology at >50°F reductions are going to be necessary to achieve meaningful greenhouse gas reductions. Furthermore, as more environmental regulations are put into effect, contractors have a proven/off the shelf ready technology that will help them meet those state and federal regulations and in turn provide a safe and sustainable solution for both people and planet.
Sustainability with Asphalt
Ingevity developed one of the first EPDs for Evotherm M1 and submitted it to the NAPA Emerald Eco Label tool. Now contractors can quantify the global warming potential for asphalt mixtures using Evotherm M1. In addition, Ingevity is partnering with asphalt contractors around the country who want to eliminate fugitive emissions at the plant and in the field, which will help them become better neighbors and stewards of the environment.
Get Zoned
Ingevity’s asphalt technology solutions provide you with economical products to improve the quality and environmental performance of your mix and give you a path to reaching your sustainability goals. Our products are best-in-class when it comes to increasing adhesion and reducing temperatures.
Our Evotherm warm mix asphalt technology enables you to meet balanced mix design requirements because it contains a built-in adhesion promoter to meet Hamburg Wheel Tracking Test results and allows asphalt to be produced at lower temperatures, which helps improve cracking.
Additionally, by incorporating Evotherm into your mix and lowering your temperatures, you can eliminate blue smoke and reduce GHGs. This is extremely helpful when it comes to obtaining permits in nonattainment areas, creating a safer work environment for your employees and the surrounding neighborhoods, and meeting your own sustainability goals.
