CDC Resources for Vaccination of Essential Workers
BY CDC
In some states, essential workers like first responders and grocery clerks already have access to vaccines to help protect them against COVID-19. These vaccines will be available to essential workers across the nation soon.
CDC’s new COVID-19 Vaccine Communication Toolkit for Essential Workers: Getting Started can help you educate your staff. It includes posters, flyers, slides, social media messages, and letters that address common questions and concerns. It also explains the benefits of vaccines to employees, their loved ones, and their community.
“It is important that essential workers get vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” says Dr. Margaret M. Kitt, deputy director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. “The timing will vary depending on a worker’s location and job category, but it is a critical step in ending the pandemic. Please check with your local public health authorities to find out when and where to get vaccinated.”
