INTRAME, Valladolid, Spain, recently exhibited at Hillhead 2026, where the company presented its latest asphalt plant technologies focused on efficient aggregate handling, accurate dosing, high RAP processing capacity and reliable production of high-quality asphalt mixes. With more than 1,000 plants supplied worldwide, INTRAME designs and manufactures continuous and batch asphalt plants for contractors, aggregate producers, and vertically integrated asphalt companies.
According to the manufacturer, one of its key technical advantages is its approach to aggregate dosing, drying and mixing. In its continuous Flow-Mix plants, virgin aggregates and RAP are dosed before being processed through counterflow drying technology. The final mixing process takes place in an external twin-shaft pugmill mixer, where liquid asphalt is injected outside the dryer drum. This configuration helps protect the binder from direct exposure to the burner flame and hot gas stream, improving mix homogeneity while reducing blue smoke, odors and VOC emissions.
