The ADOT&PF project didn’t allow Knik Construction to deliver mix directly from the haul truck to the paver. Instead, they used eight belly-dump haul trucks for windrow paving. Two Roadtec SB-2500e Shuttle Buggies picked up the material, remixed it and conveyed it to the paver. They didn’t cut the long joint, but you can see the infrared burner assisting with achieving smooth quality.
